Working alongside Richmond Fellowship’s teams of employed staff are upwards of 30 dedicated Volunteers.


A range of specific Volunteer Roles include:

  • Administrator
  • Befriender
  • Group Activity Facilitator
  • Group Activity Support


Volunteers are individually placed within Outreach, Community Links or Recovery Workshop activity where they are under the supervision of nominated RF Staff support worker. Other Volunteer lead projects are assessed depending on specific Volunteer skills. Examples of current tailored Volunteer engagement include a Volunteer setting up a mobile 4 track Scalextric racing circuit as CLS Groups social activity and 2 Volunteers who are currently leading the implementation of an Employer Engagement project.


Examples of group activities where Volunteer involvement may be pivotal include:

  • Arts, crafts, needlework, woodwork, pottery and music
  • Conservation, horticulture and environmental proejcts via Outreach
  • Coffee morning/social group: confidence building
